Meet Dr. Costa
Ana Costa, MD PhD is a pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus specialist passionate about providing excellent care and serving the community.
Dr. Costa's areas of expertise are strabismus, congenital cataract, retinopathy of prematurity, nasolacrimal duct obstruction, and other pediatric eye conditions.
She completed her pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas - Texas and worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri. She is now looking forward to serving the Arizona community.
In addition to being a Medical Doctor, she is a Ph.D. in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. Dr. Costa has published many articles and is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (JAAPOS). She keeps updated on the latest advancements by serving as a reviewer for several Ophthalmology Journals and being a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Costa speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, hiking, and learning German.
