Meet Dr. Cassidy
Brendan Cassidy, MD, is an ophthalmologist who has served the Phoenix community for 26 years. He provides outstanding pediatric ophthalmology at ABC Children's Eye Specialists at all three locations in Phoenix and Mesa, Arizona.
Dr. Cassidy has extensive clinical experience in all areas of ophthalmology. His areas of expertise include retinopathy of prematurity, ptosis, orbital tumors, strabismus, and other pediatric eye conditions.
After graduating from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, Dr. Cassidy completed his residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He then completed a fellowship at Children’s Medical Center of Atlanta, which included training in pediatric and adolescent ophthalmology, eye muscle surgery, and oculoplastic surgery.
Dr. Cassidy holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the Arizona Medical Association, and the Maricopa County Medical Society.
Through his work with Healing the Children, Dr. Cassidy has made several trips to Ecuador to care for children. He has also cared for international children sponsored in Phoenix through Healing the Children’s medical inbound program.
Dr. Cassidy speaks fluent Spanish. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, skiing, and hiking.
