Meet Dr. Gilbuena
Joseph D. Gilbuena, O.D. has been an optometrist for over 15 years and has served the Phoenix community for nearly a decade. He provides great pediatric eye care and has experience in a wide variety of optometric fields and brings his knowledge of strabismus, amblyopia, and other pediatric eye conditions to ABC Children’s Eye Specialists.
After graduating from Pacific University College of Optometry, Dr. Gilbuena gained footing in the eye care industry practicing primary care optometry in Oregon. In order to better focus his practice, Dr. Gilbuena relocated to the midwest and practiced at the esteemed offices of Optivue (now Midwest Eye Consultants) in Toledo, Ohio for four years. Upon his return to the West, Dr. Gilbuena ventured into private practice before joining ABC Children's Eye Specialists.
Dr. Gilbuena and his wife have three daughters. They enjoy kayaking, hiking, and attending baseball games.
